A ScopeCorder combines the transient capture abilities of an oscilloscope with the long-term recording of a memory recorder. They are typically used in mechatronics and power applications in power utilities and the transportation industry, including automotive and rail applications.

Video – Linear Scaling on the DL350
Today I want to discuss LINEAR SCALING – a feature that is useful on any scope or recorder. And I am going to demonstrate how to properly setup Linear Scaling on the Yokogawa DL350 Portable ScopeCorder.
First, I will illustrate, using an industrial pressure transmitter with a current output – so that it will be clear why we need linear scaling in the first place.
Then, I’ll show you the setup screens on the DL350.
And, then I will perform a live demonstration the resulting pressure transmitter reading on the DL350.

Capturing a Waveform using a Dual Sample-Rate Oscilloscope
In this video Barry Bolling, Senior Application Engineer, demonstrates a ScopeCorder feature called ‘Dual Capture’.
Dual Capture permits a long-term recording at a modest or low sample-rate, and simultaneously records any triggered-event in a high-speed burst so that the event is captured in high fidelity. A typical application for this feature is called the Chatter Test used to verify connectivity performance of critical components (relays, connectors, cables) in high vibration environments such as those found in space and defense, as well as some industrial environments.
